Georgia is located in Caucasus, surrounded by the Black Sea, the Caucasus Mountains and countries like Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Russia. Georgia is situated at the borderland between Europe and Asia. The historical Silk Road was passing through the Caucasus area connecting Asia and Europe.

Georgia's identity goes back in history with the Georgian kingdom  developed from the 4th century B.C. Georgia has a strong historical, religious and cultural tradition. The country is rich in natural resources and has a beatiful and diversed nature.

Unfortunately, the Caucasus area is characterized by politically initiated ethnic conflicts, and Georgia is also a playground for international political interests. Georgia has during the latest years become more oriented towards US and Europe.

Georgia has an old history and culture. Visual art, poetry, singing, wine, the church and hospitality are all cultural heritages deeply rooted in the Georgian soul. Georgia has it's own Georgian orthodox church and was christianized by Saint Nino from Cappadocia in the 4th century. She created the Georgian cross from a vine and tied it with her own hair.
